The publique proceeding of the Queenes Matie of Greate Britaine through ye Citty of Lisbone ye 20th day of Aprill 1662 (Catherine of Braganza)

The second of a series of 7 prints [PAH4098-PAH4104] showing the progress of the Infanta Catherine of Braganza from Lisbon to marry Charles II in England. These were created by the Spanish court artist Dirk Stoop to commemorate her journey, and were produced with captions in various languages, including English, Portuguese and German.

This example has English and Portuguese inscriptions and shows the elaborate procession of the Infanta through Lisbon to embark for England.
