The final of a series of 7 prints [PAH4098-PAH4104] showing the progress of the Infanta Catherine of Braganza from Lisbon to marry Charles II in England. These were created by the Spanish court artist Dirk Stoop to commemorate her journey, and were produced with captions in various languages, including English, Portuguese and German.

This example has English and Portuguese inscriptions and shows the spectacular river entertainment put on by the Mayor and livery companies of London to welcome the now married Charles and Catherine from Hampton Court to Whitehall. A version with German inscriptions is also in the collection [ZBA6827].
