Sketch of three British naval vessels at anchor, including Magicienne

This is a sketch, produced using pen, ink and red chalk. It was a sketch produced by James Kennet Willson, a member of the Royal Marines, on 29th August 1834. It depicts HMS ‘Magicienne’ at anchor with sails furled, together with two other Royal Navy warships. The vessel on the right, astern of the ‘Magicienne’, appears to be a three-decker 1st Rate warship. The vessel in the left of the sketch, ahead of the subject ship, appears to be roughly the same class as the ‘Magicienne’. All three vessels are depicting as flying the British Naval Ensign.
