The Right Honble Richard Lord Viscount Howe Admiral of the Blue Squadron of His Majesty's Fleet, &c
A full-length portrait of Richard Howe, Earl Howe (1726–1799) in flag-officer’s undress uniform, 1767–87, and a hat. He stands beside a rock on the seashore, holding his sword in his right hand and pointing with his left hand to a naval engagement in the background. Lettered beneath the image with the title, ‘The Right Honble. Richard Lord Viscount Howe, Admiral of the Blue Squadron of His Majesty’s Fleet, &c.’ Also lettered with the production details and publication line: ‘Drawn & Engraved by Ben. Killingbeck. / Published as the act dircts May 20th 1782 by B. Killingbeck, Dover Street, Piccadilly, London.’ This print was drawn, engraved and published by Benjamin Killingbeck in May 1782.
