Portrait of a naval officer, circa 1665
This portrait was acquired as being Robert Blake (baptized 1598, died 1657), but is not him. The officer wears a breastplate, leather doublet, a pink sash around his waist, a leather baldric, and holds a black baton in his right hand. Perhaps earlier than 1665.
