'The Death'
This print, by P. Skelton and engraved by S. Cooper from a painting by Richard Ansdell was reproduced in The Illustrated Times on 26 November 1859. It shows a deer being attacked by two dogs. The surrounding landscape is bleak, rocky with no vegetation and a cloudy sky above.
