'The Return'
'The return' by H. Cook after John William Wright. This print may relate to a story of the same name. A young woman stands to the left of the picture, her head covered in a dark shawl, her eyes lowered, facing a young man in a cloak with his hat and sword in his left hand. He is leaning slightly on the sword. Between them stands a young woman with a hat and fan also facing the young man. The scene takes place in a garden, they appear to be standing at the foot of some steps going up to a house visible in the top left hand corner.
