Gy zult de arme Vrouw niet slaan. Blz 108 - slave being whipped

A chromolithograph that depicts a slavery scene in the West Indies where a black man is whipping a kneeling black woman. The black man has been instructed to do so by a white slaverowner. A white girl in a white dress is protesting against what is happening. The words at the bottom of the print translates into "THOU SHALT NOT FLOG THE POOR WOMAN".
