Bataillen d.2 April 1801, paa Kiobenhavns Reed [Battle of 2 April 1801 in Copenhagen Roads]
This Danish print gives a good impression of the thick of the fighting at about noon on 2 April 1801, with the Danish floating batteries moored between the attacking British line and the city. Copenhagen was not directly exposed to attack though the main naval dockyard in the foreground was subject to some shelling from bomb vessels. To the top left, beyond the mast-crane are the small offshore Lynetten battery and the larger offshore Trekroner Fort, being attacked by Nelson’s frigates
