A panoramic view of the bombardment and capture of St. Jean D’Acre, shown right of centre, surrounded by fleets of firing ships. The bombardment lasted three hours before a magazine blew up and settled the fate of the town. A paddlesteamer observes the attack in the foreground. The ‘Pique’ is shown among the fleet at the extreme left of the image. The 'Powerful' is one of the ships in the centre. Lower left, a truncated vessel with five men and a cannon at the bow.
