U.S. Mail Steamship Adriatic 5888 Tons, 1350 Horse Power

Originally built by George Steers for Collins Line, Adriatic was sold in 1860, after the collapse of the company, to the Galway Line. She finished up as a floating store ship until, in 1885, she was found to be beyond repair (H Parker and F.C. Bowen, 'Mail and Passenger Steamships of the XIXth Century'). Hand-coloured lithograph.
