The 'Earl of Hardwicke' [sic] East Indiaman (Built and owned by Mr Green Blackwall 1838 paddle wheels were removed (not a success) )
Print entitled 'The ''Earl of Hardwicke'' East Indiaman'. It also bears the note 'Built and owned by Mr Green Blackwall 1838 paddle wheels were removed (not a success)'. Presumably drawn by Prior, since it bears a signature centre bottom, there appears to be an etcher's or printer's name, lower right, possibly W. H. Raper. See also PAF7729, another copy. For an oil painting of the ship under way and further details of her, see BHC3202.
