The barque Naomi
Oil painting of 'The barque Naomi' by Francis Hustwick. The painting has been recently conserved. This ship portrait is typical, in configuration, of Hustwick's output. It shows the 'Naomi' off the Liverpool waterfront, the city's landmarks clearly recognisable in the distance. 347 tons and 112 feet in length, the 'Naomi' was built at Liverpool in 1848 for Currie & Co., and remained in service until 1876.
