Masters of the Seas
There is a more detailed description of this painting contained within the 'Notebook' field within the 'Mail' icon. [Temporary note. Following an externally expressed view (April 2005) that the lead ship is the battleship 'Ajax' rather than the battle-cruiser 'Lion', Bob Todd states that is in fact the battleship 'Audacious' (a sister of 'Ajax') but presumably done from a pre-1914 drawing or photograph to account for both the torpedo nets and the fact that the ship was lost to a mine in 1914.
