The British fleet passing Kronborg Castle, 30 March 1801, before the Battle of Copenhagen

The 'Elephant' is shown following the 'Monarch', passing Kronborg (here spelt Cronenbergh). The castle lies on the eastern coast of Jutland, and would have been passed by British ships on their way to fight at Copenhagen (2 April 1801).

Inscribed: “Passage of the Sound. To Admiral Sir Hyde Parker, this view of the British Fleet under his command, passing the Castle of Cronenbergh [sic] into the Sound, on the 30th of March 1801, engraved in Commemoration of that memorable event, is most respectfully inscribed, by his obedient Servt Robt Dodd.”
