The Tribute Money, after Bernardo Strozzi

Mezzotint after ‘The Tribute Money’ (1630-35) by Bernardo Strozzi, now in the Museum of Fine Arts, Budapest (inv. 614). Christ standing, leaning back on one hand, on a table, looking and gesturing towards a pharisee who holds up a coin, saying that taxes were due to Caesar; with three other men leaning in, listening, from the left, a boy in a slashed doublet leaning against one of them, looking back towards the viewer and a young man looking towards the viewer above the coin. Missing inscription.
