Flags of Japanese Daimos. The Daimos were the old Feudal Barons and territorial noblemen who owed allegiance only to the Mikado. The title has lapsed. These miniature flags were handed on from each British flagship on the China Station to her successor, being finally received by HMS Iron Duke when that ship relieved HMS Ocean in 1871
