'Graenwich' [Greenwich]
See PAJ2421 - an original copy - for notes and reproducible images: PAI7661 is another early copy but missing the printer's line, lower left outside the frame. ZBA0726 is a worn and damaged copy presented to the 5th Astronomer Royal, Nevil Maskelyne, 'for the use of the Royal Observatory' in 1806. This one bears the modern inscription, lower right, 'From an engraving by W. Hollar (1637)' and is the reproduction issued by the London Topographical Society in 1930, which was taken from another original elsewhere. All versions mentioned here are from the post-1642 issue (state iv) of the print, which originally appeared in 1637 with a Latin dedication to Queen Henrietta Maria. [PvdM 9/15].
