Shore Scene with tochschuits

A view of a crowded scene in an estuary with a port broadside view of a tochtschuit to the right. It is hauled up stern first on the beach near a groyne with a horse and cart close by. In the right foreground is a weyschuit lying unrigged on the beach. To the left two men push off another tochtschuit bow first. Both tochtschuits are sprit-rigged with a staysail and with a small square-sail set on a mast in the eyes of the boat. In the background is a flagship at anchor near the shore.
