A View of Dover from the Pier, 1767
This comparatively early drawing by Gore is drawn on joined sheets of paper and has the appearance of having been drawn from life. It shows on the right, two cutters possibly belonging to the Revenue and in the left foreground what appears to be a dock. Among the craft in the distance are two Revenue luggers. The drawing is inscribed 'View of Dover taken from the Pier. 1767'.
