Her Most Gracious Majesty Queen Victoria, in the Royal Yacht proceeding to Spithead, July 15th 1845, at the departure of the Experimental Squadron
Plate no. 1 from 'The Experimental Squadron: a series of drawings on stone by L. Haghe, from paintings by J.M. Gilbert illustrative of H.M. visit to Spithead, July 15, 1845'. Note that other copies bear the name of R. Grove as co-publisher who, as well as Gilbert, the artist, was Lymington-based, so this copy may be the London issue. The series was popular and 1846 also saw a second edition.
