oil anchor lamp

Oil anchor lamp. A small cylindrical galvanised lantern, painted green, with a plain lens. There is a small brass ring at the top for carrying and two smaller rings (painted green) on either side of the base. A brass oil burner is inside. On the front is a brass plate inscribed : 'ANCHOR'. A circular brass medallion on the reeded rim reads: 'W. Nunn & Co, Manufacturers, London.'
