A rummer with a bucket bowl, plain stem and plain conical foot. It is wheel-engraved with six warships and an oval profile portrait of Nelson, facing left in an oval frame within a laurel wreath. Above the portrait is inscribed:'TRAFALGAR' and around the rim: 'ENGLAND . EXPECTS . THAT . EVERY . MAN . THIS . DAY . WILL . DO . HIS . DUTY .' The glass has a pinkish tinge and thee are bubbles in the base of the bowl. the engraving may be later than the glass.
