Rummer

A rummer with a bucket bowl and hollow, cushioned knop stem containing a sixpence of 1844. The stepped round foot has a pontil mark. The bowl is wheel-engraved with a merchant brig. On the other side, inscribed within a star: 'Presented to J.H. by his Affection'e son A.H.' The inscription is flanked by bunches of flowers, with a basket of fruit on top. There are flaws and bubbles in the foot and the base of the bowl.
