Rummer
Rummer with a u-shaped bowl, plain stem and plain conical foot with a pontil mark. It is wheel-engraved with a topsail schooner, inscribed above in diamond point: 'Julia of Wells'. On the other side, within palm branches flanked by bunches of grapes, is the diamond point inscription: 'Francis Southgate 1854'. The rummer is likely to have been engraved on the East Coast.
