The boat badge HMS 'Folkestone' 1930. An official pattern approved in July 1929. On wavelets silver and a green, a medieval ship in gold. The design derives from the seal of the town. The badge is diamond-shaped with a rope twist border representing a naval auxiliary. It is made of cast brass, painted and drilled at the corners. 'FOLKESTONE' is inscribed on the reverse.
