Klima-globus

Terrestrial climate globe. Geographical details on the sphere show climatic zones in relation to the atmospheric pressure, the main circulation systems and their changes through the year, using the classification system of Wladimir Koppen. The system was simplified by Glenn Thomas Trewartha, USA. A series of keys for the colours is given below the inscription for the five classes A-E, and to the right are listed the symbols used on the globe. Main oceanic currents and four oceans are named on the globe.

There is an accompanying 32-page pamphlet with explanations and additional information in English, German and French. For full details about the cartography and construction of this globe please refer to the related publication.
