Silver punch ladle commemorating the Battle of the Saints, 12 April 1782.
The ladle has a semi-circular silver bowl with slight husk pattern on the flared collar and a pouring lip. The handle is of twisted baleen with a small silver finial, mounted in a silver socket on one side of the bowl. The underside of the bowl has an engraving of a French first rate wearing French fleurs de lys flags, and above it the inscription: 'The Ville de Parie taken ye 12 April 1782'.
