Women's Royal Naval Service uniform: pattern 1939-53
Women's Royal Naval Service working dress blouse with shoulder strap for 2nd Officer, 1948. Constructed from heavy weight, navy, twill woven, woollen fabric (serge). The jacket is unlined, double breasted and fastens at the front with three gilt buttons. Two outside breast pockets fastened with gilt buttons. Twelve body pleats into the waistbelt secured with a plain button. The cuffs are fastened with a fly-type plain button.
