Second Class Dining Saloon on the 'Saxonia' (1900)
Interior of the passenger/cargo liner 'Saxonia' (1900) showing the Second Class Dining Saloon, a view looking across to starboard. The swivel chairs were bolted to the floor to avoid movement during rough weather; they were a standard feature of ships’ restaurants until the First World War.
