Queen Elizabeth 2 (1968); Passenger vessel; Liner
Scale: 1:xx. A design model of the funnel from the transatlantic liner Queen Elizabeth 2 made in wood and paper and painted in realistic colours. The slender, tapering, elliptical-shaped funnel stack is painted black, the aft casing is white and the upper face on which the forward part of the funnel rests is a bright red. This forward part sweeps upward to cause an up draught of air to carry away smoke. The superstructure housing for the funnel is also shown, painted white with, what might be, ventilators either side indicated in grey.
