Edward Troughton (1753-1835)
A pink-painted plaster cast of the subject's face, said to be a death mask but possibly a life mask. It is mounted on a right-angled velvet-covered wooden bracket with a gold edge-fillet, of the same type as a plaster head of Sir George Airy (ZBA0708). The Museum also holds a marble bust of Troughton by Chantrey, (ZBA1722)
