Consists of parts: half plate camera made by W. Watson & Sons Ltd, 2 lenses made by Ross of London, 4 photographic plate holders, 6 variable aperture plates (Waterhouse stops) made by Ross & Co, Opticians, London.
Inscription on lens 1: 'No 29609 Ross, London, 8 1/2 x 6 1/2 Rapid Symmetrical', this lens has a slit into which aperture plates fit to stop it down.
Inscription on lens 2: 'No 58807 Ross, London' has inbuilt variable f number, scale goes 5, 5.6, 8, 11, 16, 22, 32, 45, 64/
Lenses screw into main body of camera. Aluminium mounting (for lenses) possibly a later addition. Wooden mounting for photographic plates with leather bellows and a circular tripod attachment in the base.
