Squadron and prizes working into the Tagus, 28th Feb 1797
Framed watercolour. Signed by the artist and dated, lower left and inscribed under the appropriate ships, 'Salvator del Mundo', 'San Nicolas', 'San Joseph', and 'San Isidro'. This was no. 22 in the 1975 NMM Pocock exhibition, when it and PAJ2862 were noted as being exhibited in their at least near-original so-called 'Trafalgar mounts', with the glass surround back-painted in black and gold and inscribed with the titles, and Regency-style frames. Both were purchased from Mrs K.E Maunsell in 1953 as part of a group of Pocock drawings formerly in the Berry Collection. [PvdM 10/08]
