Framed print entitled 'Sir Edward Hughes, KB, Vice Admiral of the Blue Squadron of His Majesty's Fleet'. This is a copy of the mezzotint engraved and published by Jones after the full-length portrait that Reynolds painted of Hughes (1716-94) in 1786, after his return from India into retirement at the end of the War of American Independence.
