Awarded to Captain Frederick Edwards (1855-1911) in 1883. Neck badge and ribbon.Blue enamel Maltese cross with white border superimposed on a gold wreath. Between each arm is a Puloulou (gold staff with a ball on top indicating royalty). Obverse: Central medallion light blue depicting feather covered staff. Medallion surrounded by white band inscribed: "KALAKAUA FEBRUARY 12, 1874". Reverse: Central medallion light blue inscribed "1874". Surrounded by a white band inscribed "KEOLA" in gold with wreath. Suspended by a gold crown from a blue moire ribbon.
