Trafalgar
Framed watercolour drawing entitled "Trafalgar". The watercolour is signed 'A. Ballin' by the artist.
The Naval Club, Hill Street, London, has a large pair of oil paintings of Trafalgar by Ballin, also signed this way: one shows Nelson's double-column approach over a nearly calm sea, as seen from the Combined Fleet; the other is a stern view of the 'Temeraire' engaged between the 'Redoubtable' and 'Fougueux', all substantially dismasted at the height of the action. [PvdM 4/11]
