First Class Lounge on the 'Empress of Asia' (1913)

The main public rooms on the 'Empress of Asia' were designed by the architect George Abraham Crawley (1864-1926). The First Class Lounge was decorated in the Georgian style. The oak panelling with antique finish was installed by W.& E. Thornton-Smith, London. The overdoors were painted by Gerard Chowne (1875-1917) and Charles Maresco Pearce (1874-1964).
