Long Service and Good Conduct Medal, Royal Navy 1910-1930

Awarded to S P O Charles Trusler RN (1894-1966). Obverse: Bust of King George V in naval uniform, orders and medals (left). Legend: 'GEORGIVS V BRITT : OMN : REX ET IND : IMP'. Reverse: Within a knotted rope starboard broadside view of a ship of the line at anchor. Legend: 'FOR LONG SERVICE AND GOOD CONDUCT'. Inscription on edge: 'K.16156 C. TRUSLER S.P.O., H.M.S.DOLPHIN.' Suspended from a clasp and dark blue ribbon edged with white. Mounted on a bar with seven others.

Charles Trusler was a Petty Officer in the Royal Navy who served in both the First and Second World Wars. He served in HMS 'Hindustan' for most of the Great War. She was attached to the 3rd Battle Squadron based in turn at Rosyth, Portland and Sheerness. His medals indicate that he served in both the Atlantic and off North Africa during the Second World War. He left the Royal Navy at the end of World War II and died in 1966.
