'Empress of Asia' (1913)
The passenger liner 'Empress of Asia' (1913), viewed from a position off the starboard bow. Bedford Lemere & Co daybooks record this as a copy negative made on 17 May 1924; the original photographer is unknown.
This shows the appearance of the 'Empress of Asia' after 1921, when the shipping section of the Canadian Pacific Railway Co was reorganised under the name Canadian Pacific Steamships Ltd and changes were made to the hull and funnel colours. In this image the white band along the hull has ben emphasised by some retouching.
