Passenger/cargo vessel

Scale: Unknown. A waterline model of a passenger/cargo vessel. The hull is painted black with brick red at the waterline and a fine white stripe above running the entire length of the vessel and white bulwarks. The decks are painted off white with mid-grey cargo hatch covers. The foredeck includes anchor winch gear, a wave deflector, a foremast with navigation light attached and two cargo hatches served by two pairs of derricks. The main superstructure is placed amidships and there are two promenade decks. The forward elevation has one open deck and the bridge house is flanked by a pair of bridge wings. The boat deck has eight pairs of lifeboats, on the port and starboard sides, all stowed on davits. The lifeboats are painted white with pale grey covers and the foremost pair are smaller than the others. Between the lifeboats there are a pair of funnels painted black with a broad white horizontal stripe. Clustered around each funnel are four ventilators painted black with red openings. There are a further twelve ventilators, painted cream also with red openings. The aft cargo deck has two hatches served by two pairs of derricks and between the hatches is the mainmast. The superstructure at the stern of the vessel has two promenade decks and a boat deck above with four pairs of lifeboats stowed in two rows, the outer rows have collapsible boats stowed beneath them. On the base of the model is '27'.
