Prize medal, Malta Daily Chronicle Cup
White metal, Uniface Maltese Cross with inscription on band: 'NAVY-ARMY FOOTBALL MATCH MALTA CHRONOCLE CUP'. In centre: '1922'. With dark blue satin ribbon and a red satin ribbon. This was a popular annual football match between Army and Navy servicemen stationed in Malta. It was known as the Malta Daily Chronicle Cup as the Cup and medals were provided by the daily newspaper the Daily Malta Chronicle.
This particular match was played on 30th March 1922 at the Corradino Football ground in Paola. The final score was 0-0.
