Passenger/cargo vessel

Scale: Unknown. A waterline model of a passenger/cargo vessel. The hull is painted black with brick red at the waterline and a fine yellow stripe at main deck level running the entire length of the vessel, and white bulwarks. There are anchors at the port and starboard bows. The decks are painted cream with mid-grey cargo hatch covers. The foredeck includes an anchor cable, three hatches in line, a derrick rigged to the foremast and a pair of derricks. The main superstructure is positioned amidships and has a promenade deck running its entire length. Above the promenade is a shelter deck. The bridge house is set back slightly and is flanked by two rectangular bridge wings and an open look-out above. The boat deck has seven pairs of lifeboats on port and starboard sides, all painted white with grey covers, and stowed on davits. Between the lifeboats is a pair of funnels painted yellow each with a broad white stripe and two narrow black stripes. Forward and aft of the funnels are two skylights. At the aft end of the promenade deck is a single large hatch and aft of it is a small raised boat deck with a pair of boats stowed on davits and between them, a main mast rigged with a derrick. The aft deck has two small hatches with a companion way above them linking the promenade boat deck with two further boat decks, one of which has a pair of davits and two lifeboats, the other a pair of lifeboats. On the base of the model is '31'.
