Llangibby Castle (1929); Passenger/cargo vessel; Liner
Scale: Unknown. A waterline model of a passenger/cargo vessel. The hull is painted lavender grey with brick red at the waterline, with white bulwarks. The decks are painted pale buff with mid-grey cargo hatch covers. The forecastle has anchor cable gear. The forward cargo deck has two hatches served by a derrick mast between them.
The superstructure is painted white and has two promenade decks, one above the other. The front elevation is flat and vertical with a wood-clad pilot house at the top surmounted by an open look-out. Either side of the pilot house are a pair of navigation light cabins. The boat deck has five pairs of lifeboats stowed on davits, on the port and starboard sides and, between them, there are a pair of funnels painted red, with black tops, in Union-Castle company colours.
Aft of the main superstructure is a single hatch served by a pair of derricks placed on the aft cargo deck. The aft cargo deck has two hatches separated by a raised boat deck. This has two boats stowed, port and starboard and, between them, is a derrick mainmast that serves the hatches fore and aft of it. The raised poop has a deckhouse that extends virtually to the stern of the vessel.
On base of model: "69".
