Cargo vessel; Container ship

Scale: Unknown. A waterline model of a cargo vessel. The hull is painted pale grey with brick red at the waterline. The decks are painted dark grey apart from those on the superstructure, which are pale green. There is a foredeck almost devoid of fittings. The main cargo deck runs almost the entire length of the vessel and is depicted with containers, mainly light grey though there are also containers painted brick red, pale yellow, white and dark grey. Most of the containers are 20ft TEUs but there are two 40ft towards to stern, the one on the port side is white and the one on the starboard side is light grey. The containers are stowed one unit high. The superstructure is placed at the stern, painted white, and the forward elevation is a flat vertical face with the bridge, or pilot house at the top and the bridge winds extending from the deck below. Atop the superstructure is a single funnel, rectangular in section, with a broad horizontal white stripe on which is an "S", in black. A radar mast extends from the front of the top of the funnel. On base of model "517".
