Passenger vessel

Scale: Unknown. A waterline model of a passenger vessel. The hull is painted black with brick red at the waterline, and white bulwarks and superstructure. The decks are painted a uniform cream with mid-grey cargo hatch covers. The foredeck includes anchor cable-handling gear, wave deflector, foremast, two pairs of cranes, and two apertures through which the two hatches on the deck below can be accessed. The bulwarks either side of the two apertures are pierced to reveal an uninterrupted deck below.

The main superstructure is placed amidships, the deck above the main deck being a promenade running virtually its entire length. The bridge is enclosed with open areas either side of it and, above these, a pair of large fin-shaped bridge wings. Between the bridge wings is an enclosed pilot house. The boat deck has seven pairs of lifeboats, on the port and starboard sides, all painted white, and stowed on davits. The foremost pair of boats are smaller than the rest. Located on A deck are three tall funnels, circular in section, painted cream, each with a fine black horizontal stripe and with black tops. Funnels one and two each have positioned forward large rectangular ventilators, also painted cream with red openings. There are also a further six conventionally shaped ventilators. Along the centre line of A deck there are a total of six skylights of varying sizes.

The configuration of the aft deck is similar to the forward deck. Two apertures are shown, the rearmost one providing access to the hatch on the deck below, served by a pair of cranes mounted either side of the aperture. The bulwarks either side of the apertures are pierced showing an open layout on the deck below. Set between the apertures is a mainmast flying a pennant. A raised poop deck, accommodates a further four lifeboats stowed on the deck in a single row.

On base of model: "151".
