Passenger/cargo vessel

Scale: Unknown. A waterline model of a passenger / cargo vessel. The hull is painted black with a thin gold line at deck level. The upperworks, accommodation superstructure and decks are painted a creamy white. The split-level forward deck is fitted with two large masts rigged with three pairs of derricks, serving four grey covered cargo hatches. Between the masts is a raised boat deck with four life boats rigged in davits and on skids. The central upper bridge and accommodation superstructure is fitted with six pairs of lifeboats rigged to davits either side of a single slightly raking oval-shaped funnel, painted light yellow with white and green bands towards the top. There are three pairs of large engine room ventilator cowlings painted buff yellow, located around the base of the funnel, and a single mast rigged with derricks just aft of a large skylight towards the stern on the boat deck. At the stern, there is a single mast rigged with two pairs of derricks, serving three grey covered cargo hatches. Between the two after masts is a central block of accommodation, on top of which is fitted with a pair of double-banked life boats, rigged in davits. There is a raised poop deck fitted with five lifeboats rigged in davits, either side of a skylight. The number "49" is written on the underside of the hull.
