Loving cup
A three-handled loving cup, the pattern a copy of Nelson's oak leaf service. Porcelain, painted with the arms of Vice-Admiral Horatio Nelson (1758-1805), without the crest but surmounted with a viscount's coronet. The motto on a ribbon below is given incorrectly as 'PALMAM OUT MERUIT FERAT'. It has a border of crude oak leaves and acorns and a gold band on the rim and handles. Blue swags in the border are inscribed 'Nelson 22 April' and 'Nelson San Josef'.
