Commander of the British Empire awarded to Captain Archibald Frederick Cooper (1885-1975). Neck badge. Silver gilt cross patonce the arms on reverse enamelled blue grey. In the centre within a circle enamelled red, with the motto 'FOR GOD AND THE EMPIRE' gilt conjoined busts of King George V and Queen Mary. Reverse: The Royal cypher 'GRI' within a rope circle. Suspended from a pink ribbon edged grey. In fitted case of issue with spare ribbons.
Member of the Order of the British Empire 'London Gazette 1 January 1919 'In recognition of valuable services rendered in connection with the war'. Cooper became Commander of the Order of the British Empire on 1 January 1944.
