Distinguished Service Cross 1936-47
Distinguished Service Cross awarded to Commander Peter Reginald Glenholme Worth when serving as a Lieutenant on HMS ‘Bentinck’ on anti-submarine operations in the Western Approaches in 1945.
The medal is in the form of a plain silver cross pattee, convexed. In the centre of the obverse is the Royal Cypher and on the reverse is inscribed the date, ‘1945’. It is suspended from a blue ribbon with a central white stripe and mounted on a bar with seven others: 1939-45 Star (MED2003), Atlantic Star (MED2004), Defence Medal 1939-45 (MED2005), War Medal 1939-45 (MED2006), Korea Medal 1950-53 (MED2007), United Nations Service Medal for Korea 1950-53 (MED2008) and US Legion of Merit 4th Class (MED2009).
